Ruru Kuo is a multi-disciplinary designer based in Brooklyn, New York. She makes complex stories legible on small screens: motion graphics, data visualization, and formats built for how people read on social.
Previously a founding member of the Reporter Video team at The New York Times, where she shaped the visual language for reporter-led video and went on to art direct social visuals, building the design system her colleagues still work in.
Ochs Award finalist. Recognized by the Society for News Design and the Society of Publication Designers.
Currently a brand creative at Anthropic.
